Protea Hotel By Marriott Franschhoek, Franschhoek

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and offered stunning views over the pool with the mountains in the background. The service was top-notch with friendly, approachable staff. The location was perfect, within walking distance to everything in town. However, the dining experience left much to be desired with limited breakfast options and some issues with the food quality. The facilities were generally good, adding to the overall positive experience.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Franschhoek, just a few minutes' stroll from all the shops and restaurants. The rooms are modern and spacious, providing great comfort with cozy beds and good showers. However, there were some letdowns, like the poor breakfast selection and the extra charge for a cappuccino despite the 'full breakfast' rate. The staff, especially Charlene, the manager, was friendly and responsive, enhancing the overall experience.

My stay was fantastic! The hotel had fresh and clean rooms, comfortable with all amenities. The pool area around the patio was very pleasant, although there was a lack of privacy on the ground floor. The view from my room facing the pool was lovely. It would have been even better if there were hooks to keep the door open.
